Silvia began her studies with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Laboratory Technician at the Statale University of Milan, followed by a professionalizing Master’s program to become a Pathologist Assistant in 2017. For her Master’s thesis, she won a scholarship to pursue a research project abroad, in the Cell Biology research group at Radboud University in Nijmegen (Netherlands), focusing on tumor cells development.

She then completed her Master’s degree in Medical Biology with a specialization in Human Biology at Radboud University, with her final thesis at King’s College London, working on a research project focused on molecular biology applied to forensic science. Specifically, the characterization of aptamers with molecular biology techniques, selective for blood cells.

After completing her studies abroad, she returned to Italy to Humanitas Research Hospital, working as a Pathologist Assistant and Histothecnologist at the Pathology Department. She then returned to the research field in Professor Piscuoglio’s Precision Medicine lab, focusing on cell biology, organization and management, and workflow coordination.
