Riccardo Rossetti graduated in Neurobiology at University of Pavia in 2021 and his MSc thesis was his first step in his commitment in studying the function of the vascular barriers, with a particular interest in role of the brain choroid plexuses in the development of neuroinflammatory diseases. After the graduation, he moved to University of Milan with a “promising-graduate fellowship” to study the role of the macrophages in vascular morphogenesis.
Starting from November 2022, he is a PhD student in the laboratory of “Mucosal Immunology and Microbiota” in Humanitas University, under the supervision of Professor Maria Rescigno. His PhD project investigates the role of the vascular barriers and microbiota in Autism Spectrum Disorder development.
