Nada Mansour graduated at Politecnico di Milano in 2023, pursuing both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. During an internship period at the Clinical Engineering Department in Humanitas Research Hospital, Nada had the opportunity to explore the field of 3D printing and its potential impact on the medical field. In particular, her Master thesis focused on developing a novel protocol for 3D printed patient-specific anatomical models using recycled plastics, with the aim of improving surgical preplanning and reducing the environmental impact.
Starting from April 2023, Nada is an Engineering Specialist in the 3D Innovation Lab at Humanitas University under the guidance of Eng. Paolo Oliva. Here, she develops patient-specific anatomical models and training phantoms, one of which is currently under patent evaluation.
Her work at the lab not only promotes technological innovation but also contributes to improve the quality of patient care, combining technical skills with a sustainable and ethical approach.
