Karina received her Master’s degree in Veterinary Biotechnology Sciences in 2023 from the University of Milan, where she discussed a thesis on the functional characterization of a rainbow trout intestinal in vitro 3D model.

In 2024, she joined the Precision Medicine Lab at Humanitas, led by Salvatore Piscuoglio. As a pre-doctoral fellow, she works on the generation of patient-derived breast organoids to investigate the tumor microenvironment and its dynamics.
