Postdoc fellow

Chiara De Dominicis did her BSc in Biotechnology at “Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore” in Rome in 2013, and a MS in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of Rome, “La Sapienza” in 2015. In 2017, after an internship at the pharmaceutical company Special Product’s Line S.p.A, she worked in the Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology Laboratory of IRCCS San Raffaele Rome, to research the role of DNA reparation system in neurodegenerative diseases.

In 2018, she spent one year at ShanghaiTech University, where became proficient in culturing human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) lines and in iPSCs differentiation to neural precursor cells (NPCs) and neurons. In 2019 Chiara De Dominicis won a PhD position in Cell and Developmental Biology at “La Sapienza”, working at the project “Molecular expression and characterization of non-coding RNAs in tumor growth and invasiveness of glioblastoma stem-like cells”, and she successfully defended her PhD thesis on January 2023.

In October 2023, Chiara De Dominicis won a PostDoc position at Humanitas University and joined the group of Dr. Giampaolo Trivellin. Her current project focuses on chromatin structure and phenotypic changes in X-linked hypopituitarism, using genome editing, human iPSC-derived pituitary cultures and organoids.
