Graduated in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Perugia in 2017, Assunta is enrolled in the PhD program in Experimental Medicine at the University of Milan. She currently works in the laboratory of the Clinical and Experimental Immunology. Her research activity is focused on the study of human endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs), including identification, isolation and culture of EPCs to investigate the role of endothelial dysfunction in the pathogenesis of unprovoked venous thromboembolism by phenotypical, transcriptional and functional characterization.
