Martina graduated in Biology (Molecular and Cellular Biology) at the University of Siena in 2021 and then she pursued a 6 months traineeship fellowship at the Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology Department (Karolinska Institute, Sweden). Following the experience abroad, she obtained one year of pre-doc fellowship in the laboratory of Molecular Immunology, head by professor Antonio Sica at Humanitas Clinical and Research Center.
She is currently enrolled in the Drug Innovation PhD program at the University of Eastern Piedmont and she is doing her PhD project in Antonio Sica’s lab at Humanitas Research Hospital. Her research is mainly focus on the role and interplay of transcription factors involved in the emergency myelopoiesis that occurs during cancer onset and progression.
