Alessandro Barone graduated in Mathematical Engineering at Politecnico of Milano (2014). He earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics at Emory University (Atlanta USA 2019) focusing on data assimilation algorithms and patient-specific modeling for translational medicine.

He joined the Computational Biology Group in 2024 to develop Machine Learning algorithms for multi-omics data integration and identify prognostic and predictive biomarkers in precision oncology. He is also involved in the analysis of omics data across different cancers.
