Graduated in Pharmacy at University of Milan in 2016, Federica Mornata completed her PhD in Pharmacological, Experimental and Clinical Sciences at University of Milan with a project on the neuroinflammatory response associated to neurodegeneration focusing on the role of macrophages and sex.
In 2021 she joined the laboratory of Massimo Locati at Humanitas Research Hospital where she is currently working on establishing an in vitro model to study macrophages interaction with tumor cells in the context of glioblastoma and to exploit their potential to be targeted by immuno-oncological approaches.
