Dr Calvi obtained her Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine at the University of Milan in 2018 and the PhD in Experimental Medicine at University of Milan in 2023. She is currently working in the Clinical and Experimental Immunology Lab as post-doctoral fellow. Here, Michela carries out research activities in the context of tumor immunology, in particular her research activity is focused on the characterization of innate immune cells (innate lymphoid cells and Natural Killer cells) in hematologic malignancies and their immune-reconstitution profiles after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation to find out tumor immune escape mechanisms that could be targeted and ameliorate patient prognosis.
